This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The left side has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
Welcome to SDU. Sub Dub United.
This is a club for people who enjoy both the sub and the dub of anime. It's a club for those people who are sick and tired of people screaming about which one is better or for all the arguments about how the show was "destroyed" even the gripes about how the voice actors are horrible. We stand for the unity of both versions, we're the people who buy dvd's so they can experience the best of both languages! This doens't mean that members can't have a preference of one or the other, it's a club for those who can at least tolerate or enjoy both versions. ^_^ A club that supports voice actors on both sides! ^_^
If this sounds like you, welcome aboard. ^_^ If not, I'm sorry we can't suit your needs, but Thank You for visiting!!
NEWS:
Not much is new. ^^ I really hope packs come back.
RULES:
1) All those already in affect at DA
2) There must be a link back to the club in your journal or your signiture using either the icon (:icon sdunited: w/o the space) or the text link (:dev sdunited: w/o the space).
It should look like these:
icon
text ~sdunited
3) All submissions to the club must be clean, or appropriate.
Ex. If you submit a comic, please poke fun, not insult. Etc.
4) Be nice and have some fun. ^_^
TO JOIN:
1) Send a note to the club asking to join. ^_^ that easy. Please have "JOIN" in the subject.
TO SUBMIT A WORK:
1) Send a note to the club entitled "Submission" and include the url for the image/work and your username. Please do not send submissions that are already in your gallery - DA is using enough bandwidth as it is without having duplicate deviations. ^^
2) Make sure that the submission has something relating to subs or dubs. ^_^
3) All works will be placed in their designated packs.
I dont feel like joining because i have too many things im a part of. = P
But I will say this...
I watch my anime however I get it. I don't like this people who go around and TRY to be sub-strict, and are all like "Hey, WHY did I watch Dub? SUB is waaayy better."
Let's get this straight...SOME anime belongs subbed, and some dubbed.
Let's see... for subbed...definately Trigun and Love Hina. (I dont even want to IMAGINE what One Piece would be like)
As for dubbed...El Hazard and Great Teacher Onizuka.
Then there are those like Cowboy Bebop, which are good both ways (Though i do admit the dub has more feeling in it).
So yeah, i'm both.

Just reminding you guys all submissions will be placed into packs for easy organization...however...I can't create any packs until some stuff is sent in!! ^_^ Anything will do, essays, poetry, writing, comics, artwork, other stuff...wallpapers maybe? ^^ Anyway, just so you know!
Well...i dont' see a message board any time soon...lol...but yes...definitely contests will be held periodically...I'm thinking a comic contest for the first go. ^_^ but we'll wait for a few members first. ^_-
I've already sent my note in to join, but I thought it'd be fun to rant as to why I've decided to support such a worthy cause and open-minded gathering. The main reason? I'm sick of the wars too myself. It's senseless to some extent, because there isn't much avail in arguing opinion, right?
But I'm also a fan of many different dubs and subs, and many different dubbers and seiyuus. They're both brilliant in their own ways. I first fell in love with dubs, naturally, and I found that many of them were satisfactory to excellent. Same with subs. So here are just some of my favorites of each:
DUbbErS
Okay, first off, I have to be a little braggish for a bit but -- I GET TO MEET ALL MY FAVORITE DUBBERS IN ONLY SIX DAYS!!!! hieee... sorry about, but that just makes me REALLY happy, good old Anime North! Anyway, here are those dubbers.
Kirby Morrow voice of Van/Trowa/Goku/Miroku and more... my FAVORITE dubber ever. Met him once. Cute, sweet and funny guy, extremely talented, sexy voice ^^;;;
Scott McNeiil voice of Duo/Jajuka/Piccolo/RatTrap and more. WHAT would Duo Maxwell be without him? Scott is just simply amazing. He's hilarious.
Brian Drummond my second favorite VA, voice of Zechs/Allen/Vegeta/Tiger and more. He's just SOOO amazing, he can have anywhere from the most prettiest, most bad ass to most sexiest voice in seconds flat. AMAZING. Probably one of the best at voice acting I've seen doing dubs.
I love many others too, including Brad Swaile, the Dobson brothers, Mark Hildreth, Saffron Henderson and anyone else on the Ocean Group bandwagon. Also, any Miyazaki dub kicks SO much butt. I really loved the dubbing for Mononoke.
SeiYUU
Seki Tomokazu this guy can go from gay to incredibly sexy with his voice also in seconds flat. He's just done so much already, and he's done it all very well. Including VAN! I LOVE VAN.
Mayo Suzukaze Any woman that can make Kenshin sould so wonderfully sexy is extremely talented. Period.
Kappei Yamaguchi Who DOESN'T love him?
Koyasu Takehito Mr. Deep Voice makes me giggle. I think he keeps us fangirls on edge.
Midorikawa Hikaru I get to meet him in six days! Yes, I'm being a little braggish.. *teehee*
I also love how you chose the ying-yang symbol for your motif. It's no less than perfect considering its symbolism. An anime depends on both its sub and dub to consider international success.
Peace. Love. Anime.
